Our founders, Dick Charlton and Jim Connolly, were both professional engineers employed in Atlantic Canada’s electrical utility industry in the 1980s. They experienced how the privatization of utilities—along with high levels of utility staff attrition, early retirement, and staff downsizing—was forcing engineers to rely more and more on the dependability and knowledge of their manufacturer contacts for product information and general assistance.

In 1985, Charlton & Connolly was established as a Manufacturers Agency for the electrical utility industry in Atlantic Canada.

We continue to operate with the same principles upon which we were founded: we are always a trusted source of information, guidance, and support for our customers. We are committed to providing excellent, dependable, and knowledgeable service.

Our agency provides support for professionals in New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, and Prince Edward Island.
